At one of our last choir meetings before leaving for the Christmas break, we were told that our Women's Chorus concert for 2011 would be held at the Provo Tabernacle. What an amazing venue for us to perform at. It was exciting to think about the different opportunities singing in the Tabernacle would offer us as a choir. We would be able to present a concert that would be uniquely suited to the acoustics, instruments and seating that the Provo Tabernacle provides.
Sadly we were informed yesterday that the Provo Tabernacle has burned down and is completely destroyed. We are at present undecided as to where our Spring concert will be held. The Provo Tabernacle was a beautiful historic landmark that we will all miss.
